Stephanie Harjes and Kathrin Grunke were commissioned by Arzberg Germany to create there own personal range of crockery, each cup separately packaged in a sturdy gift box, ensuring safe delivery and storage. Stocks are low at the moment, but we are expecting the next shipment at the end of April.
Stefanie Harjes: An interpretation of love, temptation and eroticism in her collection "Love song" is both enigmatic and enchanting. Together they tell six love stories. At first glance the images seem confused: magical fantasy and reality merge. Humans and animals talk to each other, the animals each have their own human characteristics -they wear clothes, behave like humans -they even make music. Vibrantly colourful and full of fantasy it's a lovely set to own.
Kathrin Grunke: This designer collection is an enticement into a fascinating erotic world. The artist uses six magnificently coloured motifs to illustrate her interpretation of the story "Beauty and the Beast". Kathrin Grunke loves symbols, shapes and colours - her figures are highly expressive and full of emotion. Beauty appears totally self-confident, her charms alluringly coquettish - the animals are accompaniments for Beauty's playfulness.

We like blenders. We came across this uber-cool Wolfgang Puck blender and are salivating at the sheer power of 1000w motor (The closest we stock is 500w). We can't get our hands on one of these but we think the noise might come close to the legendary "potato, potato, potato" sound of a Harley. The fact that it looks like it has a clamp to keep the lid down says it all.

This Wolfgang Puck Power Blender is possibly the most powerful blender ever. Even with the glass container filled to its 50-oz. capacity, this blender features 6 blades that rotate clockwise, and 4 stirring blades that rotate counter-clockwise simultaneously to ensure blades will not get stuck. 1,000-watt professional blender can crush ice without adding liquid. Patented automatic system reverses blade direction if slowing occurs . Safety-interlocking arm. Computer-controlled blender speed stays constant.

Following on the trend of outdoors/innovation comes this new gadget (not currently available in SA). The Handpresso is a contraption (not to be confused with a bicycle pump) that allows you to make an espresso anywhere - more specifically in the bush.

How does it work?
Nothing is easier! Just pump the machine to 16 bar, add hot water from a kettle or a thermo insulated bottle and an E.S.E. pod. Then, serve a premium quality coffee in your cup by pushing the button.
It seems to be the latest thing (for like 10 years now) to 'rough it' without really roughing it, but are we willing to forego our creaturely comforts of hot water, a comfy bed and at the very least our eternal espresso? Well it seems that our friends over at the 'centre for scientific inventions to rock the world' have solved these problems in a few easy pumps.
