Yip, we’re growing and we need your help. We’re looking for a passionate food and kitchen tool lover to fill a customer services role at Yuppiechef.

We’re based in Cape Town so you need to be in the area or need to be willing to move to the most beautiful city in the world. You’ll join us during the course of July as we need you as soon as possible. We don’t mind about your age or whether you’re a boy or a girl but there are a few things we know we’re looking for in this unfound star:

1. You’ve had at least 2 years experience in a customer service role and know that looking after customers is the most important thing in life.
2. You are a good writer and your English compares to that of the queen, darling.
3. You get passionate about your work and are looking for something to get your teeth into.
4. You’re outgoing, you like people and people like you.
5. You’re able to work under pressure and can deal with difficult and sometimes unreasonable customers (did I say that?) with a smile on your face, always looking for the best outcome.
6. The web is your second (or third) home. Facebook, blogs, Twitter and other social media are your weekly staples.

Things that will keep you busy in this role include:

1. Chatting to customers daily to make sure they are happy with their purchases and helping arrange whatever needs to be arranged when things go wrong, as they sometimes do in life.
2. Managing the booking, co-ordination and organisation of all sorts of great Yuppiechef events.
3. Working alongside other Yuppiechef team members at trade shows like the Good Food & Wine Show telling the world about who we are. These shows require lots of energy and are great fun. Take a peek here.
4. Keeping in touch with our fast growing base of lovers through Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and our blog.
5. Co-ordinating the writing of our hand-written notes and making sure things like this are included in every package we send.
6. Bringing cupcakes and other nice treats into the office every now and then to surprise us and keep us smiling.
