Swiss Diamond Cookware is now available in South Africa, and we are happy to say, it was available on Yuppiechef first.

We are currently putting a frying pan and saucepan to the test at home and my wife doesn't want me to give them back. They're that good! Seriously.

Swiss Diamond actually uses real diamond crystals in a nano-composite, giving it an incredibly strong non-stick surface. Designed for healthier cooking, you can use very little or even no oil every time you cook. The cookware does take a little longer to heat up than an ordinary pan, but once you're there the heat retention is excellent.

This range doesn't come cheap, but for something made in Switzerland with a life time guarantee, it's well worth the investment. Something that they have done around the world as part of their strategy to get Swiss Diamond Cookware into your eager hands is to sell what they call a "TRY ME PAN". It's a small 20cm frypan, at a radically reduced cost, that enables you to try out the brand without causing you to sell your home.

Stephanie Harjes and Kathrin Grunke were commissioned by Arzberg Germany to create there own personal range of crockery, each cup separately packaged in a sturdy gift box, ensuring safe delivery and storage. Stocks are low at the moment, but we are expecting the next shipment at the end of April.

Stefanie Harjes: An interpretation of love, temptation and eroticism in her collection "Love song" is both enigmatic and enchanting. Together they tell six love stories. At first glance the images seem confused: magical fantasy and reality merge. Humans and animals talk to each other, the animals each have their own human characteristics -they wear clothes, behave like humans -they even make music. Vibrantly colourful and full of fantasy it's a lovely set to own.

Kathrin Grunke: This designer collection is an enticement into a fascinating erotic world. The artist uses six magnificently coloured motifs to illustrate her interpretation of the story "Beauty and the Beast". Kathrin Grunke loves symbols, shapes and colours - her figures are highly expressive and full of emotion. Beauty appears totally self-confident, her charms alluringly coquettish - the animals are accompaniments for Beauty's playfulness.

In Italy you'll find a Bialetti stove top espresso maker in almost every household, and at Yuppiechef, you'll find a bunch of us who appreciate a decent espresso based something. We are really pleased to have Bialetti on board and are looking forward to getting at least one Bialetti into every South African household!

From the range we really like the Mukka Express - an award winning cappuccino maker. See the demo video.
